Description
This articulation picture card set focuses on the contrast between final /t/ and final /k/. It would be a great set to use with a child who is using fronting or backing phonological processes or a child who is simply substituting /t/ for /k/ or vice versa. The words are all VC or CVC in syllable shapes and do not include vocalic /r/ sounds or consonant blends. The pictures are as simple as possible and should be accessible to young children with minimal teaching.Key Features
- This set includes 36 picture cards (18 t/k minimal pairs) with the target word and picture on the front.
- The words are all VC or CVC in syllable shape.
- The words are easily understood by or easily taught to young children.
- Combines the target sounds with all possible vowel sounds at least once.

Darla, Thanks again for posting these great picture sets. They are so very useful for many of my students!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you do all of that work just to post the cards for free to anyone who can use them. But I sure appreciate it with a 4.5 yo old who fronts and has no /k/ or /g/ sounds unless we slow down and use monkey mouth signs. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteWhat are monkey mouth signs? Struggling with my 3.5 year old.
